The Women's Connection speaker on Friday, March 27, is Susan Hagan of Carnegie Mellon University. The All-Conference Luncheon Speaker for Saturday, March 28, is Sandra G. Shannon, Howard University, on Pittsburgh's native son and dramatist, August Wilson. The Diversity speaker is Festus Fru Ndeh, Associate Professor of English in Postcolonial and Black Diaspora Literature at Troy University.

Friday Night Entertainment

Milton and the Devils Party will be performing on Friday, March 27 from 8-10 p.m. in the Bob and Delores Hope Room (Mezzanine Level). A rock band for thinking people (or maybe a think band for rocking people?), Milton and the Devils Party combine a literary sensibility with a powerful pop sound. Philadelphia Daily News says, "The spirit of the songs is more sarcastic punk than high-falutin' poetics. And the band's propulsive, power pop music offers the sweet-and-sour whiff of an Elvis Costello or R.E.M. anthem."
