TACEUSS

EuroSim is organized by the Trans-Atlantic Consortium for European Union Simulations and Studies (TACEUSS), which can trace its roots back to the first EuroSim event in 1988. The member colleges and universities of TACEUSS are represented by a dedicated group of faculty members who believe in the value of experiential learning and help their students prepare for the simulation.

The faculty advisors make up the board of TACEUSS, meeting at each EuroSim to work out the details for future simulations. Locations, themes, and budget are all discussed. In addition, each year faculty enjoy a talk from a scholar of European Union studies, or a practioner. These talks give faculty the opportunity to discuss their own research, make connections with practitioners as well as fellow academics, and just enjoy time spent "talking shop."

EuroSim is financed by modest annual dues contributed by each consortium member, as well as reasonable registration and lodging fees paid by each participant. Over the four days of EuroSim, students not only enjoy a sophisticated simulation of the EU, but also a variety of excellent guest speakers, tours, meals, and social events.
