  • Teaching MIS, Business Informatics and Business Process Innovation courses, both undergraduate and graduate (MBA), MSBPI Courses, and HMSA 509, including ERP Systems, SAP, Enterprise Application Integration, Object-Oriented Design and Development, Business Expert Systems, FORTRAN, BASIC, COBOL, advanced COBOL, Information Technology Literacy, introduction to structured programming, Electronic Spreadsheets, Data Communications, Systems Design and Analysis, Management Information Systems, Data Base Management, DB2/2, Access, WorkFlow Management,  JAVA, Business Process Management, and Statistics. 
  • Participated in several curriculum development projects. Including the establishment of the MSIS degree program, MSBPI degree program, Business Informatics Major; and developed several courses for thes program including Programming for ERP Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Enterprise Application Integration, Object-Oriented Design and Development, ERP Systems, and Business Process Management.
  • Served on numerous University level and SBA level committees; including Media, Academic Support and Services, Joint Technology planning committee, Transitional Advisory Committee for Academic Computing, Middle States Accreditation for student services, Computer Services Academic Manager Search Committee, SBA Promotion and Tenure Committee, Who's Who for Widener Undergraduates, Cellucci Award Committee (chair, 1990-91).
  • SAP Task Force Committee Chairman 1998-present, arranged alliance with SAP Corporation to integrate SAP R/3 into the SBA curriculum.  Coordinate Widener's SBA alliance with SAP to train faculty, develop curriculum, and teach courses with SAP R/3 content.
    • Assisted with the SAP R/3 High School Pilot program.  Assisting 13 High School Districts, along with SAP America, in developing an ERP/SAP high school curriculum.
  • Member of the SAP High School Alliance Curriculum Development Steering Committee.  Invited by SAP to be a member of the board. 2001 to 2003.
  • Other duties include being an academic advisor and the advisor for the Widener Chapter of the Association for Information Technology Professionals (AITP) formerly the Data Processing Management Association; and the campus advisor for Campus Crusade for Christ. 
    • The AITP/DPMA student group has received the student chapter outstanding participation award (SCOPA) from DPMA/AITP international every year from 1985-2008. 
    • Widener SBA and AITP also was awarded the 4-year institution award for 1998-1999 - a joint award from AITP international and the education foundation.
    • Widener AITP was awarded the Region 11 Outstanding chapter award for 1998-1999, 1999-2000,  2000-2001, 2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2006-2007.
    • Awarded AITP Student Faculty Advisor of the Year - 1999-2000.
    • Several students have competed in AITP national Java, Web Master, Database, Network Analysis, and paper competitions. With several students placing in the top three papers for several years.
BUSINESS PROCESS INNOVATION CENTER OF EXCELLENCE DIRECTOR- Sept. 2003 to present
     In October 2003, Widener University's School of Business Administration was named one of seven worldwide "Centers of Excellence" for business process innovation by SAP AG, the world’s leading provider of business software solutions, and IDS Scheer, the leading provider of business process management and information technology solutions.   In May 2007, IDS Scheer invited Widener's BPI Center to be part of the IDS Scheer Innovation and Education Network, once again only 7 universities worldwide were invited to participate in this group.

The center offers executive education workshops, seminars and programs on business process analysis, innovation and related topics to impart knowledge gained in research efforts.   The Center for Business Process Innovation Excellence enables our faculty to collaborate closely with companies and organizations to focus on process-centric business innovation, generating a wealth of resources for both classroom and research activities. 
   
SAP and IDS Scheer recently founded the Institute for Business Process Innovation, a joint effort that will promote research into next-generation business solutions by applying the latest innovations to the companies' market-leading software solutions.

MIS PROGRAM COORDINATOR- Feb. 1993 to 2001
     Primarily responsible for maintaining MIS curriculum.  Produced brochures for marketing purposes.  Prepare academic budget for  the MIS program.  Advise potential and existing students. Coordinate MIS full-time and adjunct faculty.  Coordinate course material.  Plan for continued improvement of the MIS curriculum.  Interact and correspond with industry concerning MIS.
SAP ALLIANCE PROGRAM COORDINATOR: June. 1998 to present
     Primarily responsible for managing and coordinating the Alliance with SAP AG America.  Develop new course curriculum with SAP R/3.  Coordinate and assist SAP faculty task force with SAP R/3 integration.  Track students enrolled in SAP R/3 based courses.  Act as a liaison between Widener faculty and SAP AG.
 MIS LAB DIRECTOR - Dec. 1992 to Aug. 1993, Jan. 1994 - Sept. 1997
     Participated in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the MIS computer lab.  Configured the MIS lab, secured an outside installation firm.  Wrote Lab Usage Policy, Lab Assistant Duties. Coordinate Lab updates. Duties include scheduling, training, and coordinating lab assistants, monitoring lab usage, and maintaining a liaison with computer services to support the lab.   Arranged a partnership with IBM and the School of business administration which included the donation of IBM software applications, limited support, and funds.  Conducted Lab upgrades of hardware, software, and configuration.  Maintain student accounts and database permissions.
